It’s 21 degrees Celsius, you tell me. :3
[My pharmacy tech teacher made us memorize the conversion equations.]

I remember the first time I read “Yeah it’s 70 degrees, pretty good weather’ and I was like ‘FUCK! How are you still alive’ Because I automatically thought 70 degrees Celsius in my head
It took my brain a few minutes to realise it was fahrenheit and then I was like ‘ooooooh’

My dad talks in fahrenheit all the time and sets the thermostat on it so I always have to do guesswork when the temp gets uncomfortable. I just don’t understand why everyone isn’t on metric.

Gurl, the United States can’t even get all of it’s states to use the same educational standards, same textbooks, or even the SAME VERSION OF HISTORICAL EVENTS. You think we’ve got our shit together well enough to convert to the metric system?
In fact, there are several “regions” of the US that are large enough textbook markets [think Texas] that they can get textbook companies to print them their own VERSIONS of the books. That means that when a state like Texas or enough states together decide to change their educational standards and ban teaching evolution or want to sanitize historical events THEY CAN JUST GET THE COMPANY TO LEAVE IT OUT OF THE BOOK.
[facepalm] How is a country this stupid actually a world power? Don’t get me wrong — I love America and I will get into a petty slap fight with anyone who insults some of the things about this country that are EPIC, but wow this is not one of those things. [Neither is the measurement system because it’s confusing as fuck and I GREW UP WITH IT.]
